Nicki Minaj Summer Jam/Hot 97. Beef

It's been no secret that Nicki Minaj has been beefing with her homestate of New York's resident DJ's, DJ Funkmaster Flex & DJ Peter Rosenberg. She called in yesterday (June 4) & had a heated debate after one of the DJs said that her hit single off her Platinum Sophomore album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded", "Starships" 'was not real hip-hop' (*OPINIONATED* It's a pop song. What do you expect??) Nicki Minaj said that it was bad for the DJ to say such bad things about the song just before she could do something that benefited the station. “When you want our team to come to your show, treat us with respect,” she said. “And that’s all we’re asking.”  Later, she added: “”When you disrespect Nicki Minaj, you’re disrespecting my fans. I don’t have a problem with anyone saying what they have to say to me. But don’t make fans feel inferior in any way for their personal taste in music.” Nicki gave a little more light into the situation saying that it was more of an executive decision from Wayne & that since he's her boss she had to pull out from the show & there will be a show in the New York area for the fans disappointed from her early departure from the festival.
